IFFAMPAC Accepted into the World Association of Non-Govermental Organizations (WANGO) at the United Nations

Rockford, Illinois. On February 8, 2007, IFFAMPAC was formally accepted as a member of the World Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (WANGO). WANGO is a worldwide membership organization, whose mission is to connect and serve NGOs globally and to advance peace and global well-being.

Through its membership in WANGO, IFFAMPAC can now use this forum in addition to its status within the United Nations to advocate the concerns of the family associations it represents. IFFAMPAC will connect with other NGOs worldwide to discuss mechanisms and support for the difficult issues confronting the families of the missing post conflict.

IFFAMPAC focuses on helping the surviving families of armed conflict who face tremendous social, economic, legal, and cultural challenges when a primary economic provider of the family vanishes and cannot be accounted for as a result of conflict.
